Live Aid was a multi-artist live concert held on Saturday 13 July 1985. The first part took place in Wembley Stadium, London while the second part was held in Philadelphia, USA. The concert event stemmed from the Band Aid project started by Bob Geldof in late 1984, to raise awareness and funds to combat famine in Africa.
